I think the best thing to do is for black people to stop focusing so much on there differences and past and if you encounter anything negative tword any race be kind and remember that we all bleed the same and anyone who thinks different is very ignorant. My next door neighbors are black and there daughter is mines best friend. They are the most wonderful people. Amd my daughter is eight and has never once asked about our different colors. I truly believe that the way you cary yourself will definitely help with any issues that you may be having remember that you are a lady and it doesn't matter what color you are and anyone who says different is a very ignorant person. hope that this was helpful but I'm sure that throughout you r life this will come up time and time again because people as a whole are very stupid but try to let people get to know you as a person and try not to generalize if you make comments about other races then you are just as racist as they are.

To the poster as well to the person above "too cute".. The fact of the matter is people espeacially the person above who displays a serious inferiority complex, are whats feeding racism in society. Its all racial groups. Between whites and blacks. Some blacks choose to isolate themselves and look at themselves as "we" or the define themselves as being black well theres no hope for you then. if you are a group and thats the way you want to handle racism then why don't you have a meeting and talk about the negative image your portraying for yourselves through the entertainment industry and so on. Honestly how often do we hear about "white people" talking about the world speaking for all white people.. I don't hear that very often and if you did it would immediatly be portrayed as "racist" so lets rethink the whole racism thing, I know there are people in the world who are still really racist both whites and blacks and thats unfortunate but from my perspective, I don't see a whole lot of hatred or anger from whites to blacks in america I see it as the other way around. The truth is races are physically different (meaning we look different) but for those of us in america the only real way to end racism is to go about your business with an open mind and to be comfortable with yourself. I think what is also important to realize is the media in america feeds racism, so don't listen to everything they say, TV is meant to be entertainment it is not truth, the news will spin anything to get ratings. Don't be a humanoid.
FYI: I put "white people" in quotes because that is not how I view the world, I do not think of my self in any racial group though I am european and caucasion I do not relate my identity to any group based on race. Also don't be foolish, my use of "white people" (as in I see more racism toward whites) is an observation, not an opinion. I understand in different areas and social levels this can change.

Well, you're certainly not "strange or inferior". As for different... well, I guess all races have a different history, but one is as valuable as another.
Come to Canada. Here we have conflict between the French and English... both white groups! :)
It's sad. Here we are in 2006, and you'd think by now we would have learned the lessons around racism and stereotyping. But we haven't. We're a little further up the road, we're not quite as foolish as we were... but we still have a long way to go.
Just know that there's a lot of us out here who see you the same way we see ourselves or anyone else; as people, unique and invaluable.

No change comes fast. I didn't know there is discrimination against women until I grew up. The more I learn, the more I wonder how much discrimination the world has. But the stereotype isn't only against non-white people, they are everywhere. When I feel downhearted, I think about how much progress the human race has had. Unfortunately, it doesn't come as fast as I wish.

I agree with you, there are good and bad people in all races, and religions. And the fact that someone is black (white green purple whatever) should not matter in a circumstance. It is useful in a description of someone if you need it but other then that it's just an outer shell and people need to look deeper into the person to find out who they are not what colour their shell is and pass judgement.

I know how you feel. There were like five posts just this morning all about black people. There are some really racist people out there and I wish they would just give it a rest. I see it as nothing but jealousy. They're probably upset that a black person took there job, or a black person is there boss, or a black person is having more success in live. Hopefully we as black people aren't letting it affect us, because that's just what they want. I see it as a form of terrorism, done only to disturb our way of life.

Ive been trying to figure out just what the world hates about Blacks besides the skin tone. Other races tan themselves, get lip and butt injections, they love our music, they steal our diamonds in Africa, they love our hair styles, they love our style and our sassiness. Just what is it that they hate so much? People make fun of and despise what they dont understand. Nothing in the world is better than being Black and I wouldn't ever trade it.

I've noticed that too.
A lot of people pretend that it don't exist and act like we are the ones causing this issue.
You can't ignore it.
Discrimination and Racism is alive and well
The people that try to do that are stupid.
Bottom line.

I know thank you! So many stupid people on Yahoo are focused on us and insulting us. It's like they need to grow up, get a life, and educate themselves. We should all find a way to get their usernames deleted (especially "The Asian Rockstar"!)
