I really want to get her something nice. Something she will like. But, after the 3 kids and all, she doesn't look all that hot anymore. Kinda frumby. It will be our second, so I figure it should be something special. But I don't want to spend a lot of money. I already saw what she was gonna give me. A can of chrome polish. Should I just give her a nice bar of soap?

1. A slumber party with her high school friends.(is it ok if they are guys?)
2. A sweet 16 party. (with 16 guys)
3. A new car .....oh go ahead and made it a van that will fit...well.....you get the picture. ;)
4. 16 visits to the health clinic.

Here's something creative that will be appreciated and you will have fun doing: Make up a crossword puzzle and have all the hints be personal inside moments and jokes that only you two would know about. Put it on a poster board and add some clipart and some pictures to it! The crossword puzzle could be time consuming and a bit frustrating ... you could do the same idea with a WORDSEARCH or WORDFIND puzzle. Put your computer skills to work! Use Excel, get clipart from Yahoo Images Search, copy them, and reformat them, use a gluestick to put on posterboard. Use graph paper, and pictures from magazines if you are not as good on the computer, and it will give it a homemade feeling.

She is the mother of your children for crying out loud!!!! ...(or at least as far as you know) Go all out and buy her that set of Pink Flamingos she's been eyeing at the store, but don't stop there..let her know you really appreciate her by throwing in the pre-lit fake palm tree to go with it! Don't be such a jerk....maybe she would look better if you took her out every once in awhile...have her mama watch the younguns while you take her to Shoney's or something special like that...offer to take her to Sam's to get her hair done.....then maybe a trip to Kmart for a new outfit. The romance isn't dead between you two..it just needs to be rekindled!

You can do either one of two things:
Try and figure out what her interests are and buy a present that fits those interests
OR
Give her money so she can buy what she wants, so you don't accidentally get her the wrong thing.
