I bought a hamster 3 weeks ago and it used to come out of its house all the time and nibble on the cage so i can take it out now it stays in its house all the time and just to make sure it wasnt dead i lifted up its house and it was alive
but its winter now and i think maybe they are dormant in the winter is this true???

No, hamsters durring the day & get up at night; for the most part. I know how you feel though; if he's only staying in his little house then make sure it's really clean in there with fresh bedding & such. Also make sure he has plenty to do in his cage for exercise & fun such as a wheel, tubes, chewing sticks & such.

Their not supposed to. If they start sleeping 4 a few days in a row it's okay but after about a week u need to wake them up

In the wild, yes. In houses, no, unless they're REALLY cold.
