Seriously, i was just walking down the road and a group of african americans were walking down the road heading opposite direction i was going. I was by myself and a these people were screaming "me love you long time" and "ch ink" and "sand n-word" and "go back to your country, immigrant." This hurt me so bad, and i felt like giving them a share of their own persecuting medicine. BUt with a little self-restraint, i prevented myself from saying anything that i'd regret. They were decked out his hoodlum attire and were very mean. I was just heading over to my grandmom's house to help her take out the trash because she is a frail elderly women who can't perform easy tasks. I asked them "why?" though. Then they just said "yo is this fool serious? chump, we don't like you, we don't like your kind, scram-yiggity-yam (?) before we decide to mug or curb stomp (?) ya yella ***." I honestly didn't know what to do right there and then, so i ran. What did i do to deserve that?

Do you think they are mistaking me for someone else? I really wanted to call him that bad word, but i felt with all the animosity going on between people of different color, i wasn't going to partake in the nasty word exchanges. I really want to bring them to justice, so what do you recommend if i see these people again?

Thank you for all your responses and saying that i was right in passing up the oppurtunity. Coincidentally, all of the occurences where i encountered unprovoked racism were by 16-19 y/o african americans, somer wer younger, but they were all black, sometimes you would get a white person but they all have the same culture i guess, which is ignorant.

I am still trying to decide if this is a serious question, so just in case it is, I will answer seriously. You didn't do anything to deservie such rude treatment. Don't ever mess with anyone who is displaying that kind of behavior because they are haters and may do physical harm. No one should have to put up with that kind of treatment, but It's not worth it to answer back or try to stand up for yourself, especially when it is a gang against one. I am so sorry this happened to you. I am going to pray for you that they don't bother you anymore, but also for them that they see the error of their ways and have a happier life so they don't have to bully their fellow human beings to feel better about themselves.

Wow that is crazy!! I am Asian also and I have received those comments - not as bad but nevertheless it does hurt you.

You must understand that there are ALOT of ignorant people out there and they do things (in groups) to get the acceptance of their peers. You did the right thing and walked away. There is no need for you to say the n-word and get down to their shallow level. They don't know you or may not know anything about the Asian culture. They might even experienced racial slurs and this is their way of getting back at society.

Keep your head high and accept people for WHO they are and not by the color of their skin.

Telling that person who was offended to respond by calling that person the N word, is not the right thing to do. That would cause more trouble and get some one hurt or maybe even killed. I am African American, my ancestors, and family members have been called the N word many times unpervoked. They just ignored it, which was a smart thing to do.

You were correct to pass on the opportunity for reply as dirtbags like them would probably have become physically violent. We all have to occasionally deal with tis type of people, simply avoid conflict, that's what they want.
In the end, life will deal them what they deserve.

It's a good thing that you didn't call them the n-word. It would probrably end with you getting beaten up. Just ignore them and remember that you were the better person in that situation.

Absolutely nothing, unless you're as bigotted, immature and insensitive as they are. You know you're above juvinile behavior like they displayed, which is why you didn't respond this time. Don't let people like this bring you down to a level where you lose respect for yourself.

Ignore them, unless they physically assault you, then you can notify the authorities. Unfortunately, we live in a very hateful society and everybody hates everybody. But you don't have to be a party to it and I'm glad to hear that so far, you have chosen not to.

No, don't call them ***-gers, that would be stating the obvious, and would only get you beat. Why don't you get some asian friends together and go *** those ***-gers up royally? Get some ouzis and s**t.

Be the better person and ignore him - if you answer him, you're giving him the reaction he wants.
