Uncircumcised penis is not very common, however I think you mean "Intact" as nature intended.
I am "uncircumcised" in that I was sexually mutilated at eight days old and at a late age used skin expansion techniques (foreskin restoration) as well as self surgery and plastic surgery to regain what has been amputated. Surgery is not a good option and if you imagine taking a scalpel to the most sensitive part of your own body in a desperate effort to repair what had been done by an ignorant mother, all without pain relief you might understand how this form of child abuse affects some of us.

As an uncircumcised amputee I can say that the difference in comfort and sensitivity makes me absolutely 100% against this form of child abuse and abuse of human rights; however if an adult chooses for himself that is OK with me.

According to my parents I was born a contented and quiet child (although a large baby who resisted coming out of the womb) but I suddenly changed into a screaming monster of a child, now I wonder why?

You cannot amputate some 50% of highly sensitive sexual tissue and say it does not alter sensitivity/sensualtivity when some 15 to 20,000 nerve endings and nerve fibres are amputated and major blood vessels supplying the foreskin are crushed and sealed off.

As far as the lady that said we amputees don't miss what we never had, that is a nonsense. Many of us suffer the effects not knowing why, in my case many effects in a knock on effect through life. Suicidal feelings as a child, depression, felling unloved, feeling sexually dirty (I was always being stimulated by clothes and it made me sexually over active as well as frustrated). Taunted by other children for
always "playing with myself", a reference to always trying to make my penis comfortable in my pants.

The vast majority of males in the world are intact, the UK, all of Europe, Russian states, China, a great deal of Asia, South America and large portions of Africa and in the animal kingdom it's 100% intact. Do animals suffer with their foreskins, well very rarely, do the vast majority of the intact human males suffer, well hardly at all. In fact the most unhealthy of all with the highest rate of child mortality is the USA which incidentally also has the highest rate of HIV/AIDS in the developed world as well as diseases in children that normally only affect in old age. A USA study cited child mutilation (circumcision) as a possible entry rout to nanoviruses so it might turn out that the USA is causing HIV by mutilating children.

Infection to women with thrush etc., in fact taking thrush as one common condition the main effect is that an intact male is likely to know he is infected and treat it where the 'circumcised' make may carry it and never know so passing it back and forth to his partner. A study in the UK found a higher incidence of thrush in partners of circumcised males.

It is pure arrogance to think nature that has developed us over millions of years (for evolutionary's) or God who made us (for the religious) did not know best. It beggars belief that we still treat children as human religious blood sacrifice or parental property. My human rights were violated as a child and therefore violated as the adult to whom I grew. I did not and will not give retrospective permission.

Q: Is an uncircumcised penis very common?
I don't think so. If it was then there would probably be less fuss about having it did.
Q: Is it more sensitive than a circumcised one?
Yes it is. I had surgery done to repair / remove a testicle and the doctor had to place a tube in to empty my bladder. He removed part of the foreskin. I half to wear a jock strip / thong cause my cloths were making me have an erection. Making it hard to go out in public or sleep at night (2004) and it is still that way today.
Q; Would it be more prone to infections or to giving a woman
an infection due to the foreskin being intact?
After 47 years of not being circumcised and the foreskin not being able to pull back and being married with two kids. I don't think so. I took care of my self / him. If the person who is not circumcised takes care of him self then there should not be a problem

An uncircumcised penis is UNIVERSAL in newborn babies. After that, it's very common outside the US and the Muslim world - and quite common in the western US. A conservative estimate is that 3/4 of the world's men are intact.

Yes, more sensitive, but in a different way. The foreskin has its own very pleasurable sensitivity, which a circumcised man lacks completely. The glans takes over that function in a circumcised man, but since its nerves are fewer and, well, cruder, than those of the foreskin, he has to be rougher than an intact man does.

If the region is kept clean, it would be no more prone to infection or giving a partner an infection, and it is very easy (and fun) to keep clean.

In the USA the uncircumcised penis is becoming more common with individuals in opposition to circumcision and some individuals restoring their foreskin using a skin tugging procedure. Boys born via mid-wife and outside of a hospital are much less likely to be circumcised. This was especially true prior to the 1930's and among low income families. This country had many more rural areas and isolation from the large cities. With births in the home even attending country doctors chose not to circumcise due to possible complications in healing. Everything was done to prevent the loss of the child.

From my own experience, being uncircumcised and having a rather loose and not long foreskin, the sensitivity is noticeable. Frequent cleansing, which the individual should know "when", is necessary and lessens possible infection and giving it to a woman. Common sense and good hygene should reign.

An individual with a problem involving the foreskin: soreness, swelling, less than comfortable foreskin retraction and returning to covering the glans should seek medical attention to eliminate the source of the problem which could involve the slitting or removal of some or all of the foreskin.

A uncircumcised penis is very common in the world, the only country it is uncommon is in the USA. The only country that routinely circumcises infants it is a very painful procedure that is done with nothing to stop the pain much of the time. Since using anethisea on a tiny infant is very dangerous and can cause death. It is a violation of the infants right to choose weather to keep a part of his body of not. Watch a circumcision here and you will understand why it should be illegal! http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-6584757516627632617&hl=en

A Uncircumcised penis is much more sensative than a circumcised penis. With the foreskin covering the head and Glands in the foreskin to keep it moist since the head of your penis is not made up of skin but it is a mucus membrane similar to your tongue. Without this covering your penis head becomes tougher thicker skined and less sensative. The abscense of the nerve endinigs in the foreskin and the less sensative head makes sex less satisfying and more work and more thrusting and rubbing is required to achieve orgasm. I can tell you this from experience, i am circumcised and i have been restoring my foreskin with a stretching device, my sexual pleasure during sex has increased ALOT!! You can do this also if you are interested check out this site it has alot of info: www.norm.org
(check out the lost list at this site to learn what is lost when foreskin is removed)
A uncircumcised penis is not prone to infections or giving and infection. from the information i have read.

It depends where you are in the world. About 80% of the world's male population is uncircumcised. In the US about 40-50% of men are now uncircumcised and that number has stayed relatively stable or growing slightly. Is it more sensitive? It would make sense for it to be more sensitive but that's a very subjective thing - some guys will tell you yes, others no. Lastly, as long as the owner of the foreskin keeps it clean, like washing it with soap and water during a bath like any other part of the body, there is generally no significant increase in infections whatsoever.

It is becoming more common, with circumscision of infants dropping to 60% or less.

˙From my experience of being fully restored, I would say that it is more sensitive. I used to wear briefs when I was unrestored. Now that I'm restored, occasionally the skin will partially retract while I'm wearing briefs. I need to reposition the skin as soon as possible as it is too uncomfortable otherwise.

You are no more prone to infections or giving an infection. My wife has had fewer yeast infections since I started restoring.

Interestingly, I just cured a case of jock itch. It affected the foreskin as well. The only reason that can't happen to a circumcised male is that he doesn't have a foreskin to get jock itch.

Yes, all men are born intact. A very few countries seem obsessed with cutting off the best part of the penis.

Yes it is more sensitive.

I have a foreskin, I have never had an infection and I have consequently never passed an infection on to others. A little cleanliness for all males goes a long way.

First off I would like to disagree with Sarcastro1976. I know of many people, including myself, who are circumcised who hate the fact that they have had something taken away from us. Yes, agreed, that we are not knowing what it was like to have one due to being mutliated at such a young age, but that doesnt mean we "don't mind". Of course we mind, I'm sure you would mind if a doctor mutulated your vagina by means of Infibulation, Clitoridectomy or Clitoridotomy (look them up on wikipedia if you must, its sick, cruel and immoral and of course you would mind).

An Uncircumcised penis is much more sensitive than a circumcised penis. I have had to live with a circumcised penis for the past 20 years and have hated every minute of it. However, I am in the midst of overcoming this. Currently I am restoring my foreskin by means of stretching the penile skin forward. Now I understand that I will never be able to replace many parts of a complete foreskin (Rigid Bands, Frenulum etc) but its a start. I can tell you, since I have been doing this, I have been gaining a whole new feeling of sensitivity in my penis. Foreskins to increase sensitivity.

Would it be more prone to infections? This all depends on the person. Yes, but only if the guy does not clean his penis correctly.

Matt, you say that an ex-gf got a yeast infection before you were circumcised. Unfortunate, yes, but I can tell you that women are a hell of a lot more likely to get a yeast infection from not cleaning themselves than from you. Both male and female genetalia create smegma, a combination of exfoliated epithelial cells, transudated skin oils, moisture. For males, the simple task of pulling back the foreskin and washing the smegma makes the penis easy to clean. Many women dont even realise that their bodies create the stuff and wouldnt know what it is they are dealing with. This is why many women end up with yeast infections, bladder infections etc etc etc... Women are more prone to infections due to having an "intact" vagina than an intact male is.

I hope this helps!

OVERALL, YES is your answer! 80% of the males in the world are intact, not circumcised. Therefore, the uncircumcised penis is common. However, in the United States and a few other countries the reverse is true. Therefore, in the United States, the circumcised penis is common.
