Personally, I think being a doctor is harder. Teachers play with kids all day, that cannot be possibly that hard to do

teachers don't play with kids all day, they teach kids all day.

but being a doctor would be more difficult. You can't mess up in that profession, and if a patient asks you something and you don't have an answer you lose a lot of credibility.

As far as preparation and getting the education to become either a doctor or a teacher- a doctor by far surpasses any other type of education since one must invest a lot of time and money - going to medical school (getting into one first of all), going through residency that lasts between 4-6 years, during which you are paid enough to eat dog food, being worked and have to study for the boards...and only after that do you get to do what ever you really wanted to do as a doctor and actually get paid for it. On the other hand being a teacher requires little training but a lotttttttt of patience and love; one has to realize that being a teacher is a privilege and not just another job; you are molding and impacting some one else's life, much like a doctor. Remember- either profession, especially these, must be considered only if you are passionate about them, otherwise do not do either of them and go to Wall Street and make your dollar.

While in college studying for the profession, its the doctor because of harder classes. But in the real world, its the teacher because of lower pay and having to deal with kids and sometimes their parents every single day.

I'd say being a teacher is harder.
They are the ones who lay the foundation in the kids they teach.
They also are the ones who inspire and motivate children to study hard...
It's only with good sound foundation that a kid can and would be able to excel in their academics. And probably become a doctor in future.
It's true that doctors don't have it easy either, since they deal with life-and-death issues. But unless you're ill, you wouldn't consult a doctor.
However, teachers are dealing with the lives of our future.

well as far as the schooling goes doctor is harder but on an average work day a teacher can be considered harder cause the students don't listen and you can't discipline them. And it is your job on the line if they don't learn. As a doctor you can pick and choose your patients

I'm not a teacher or a doctor... but I'd say the money would make it easier to be a doctor. Teachers have a lot on their plate, as well. So, personally I'd say a teacher.
