Well i heard some poeple claiming that in Remote Canada Area , Governement give a free land and pay us to stay on that land. Mainly because they need poeple in remote area.. but the information is hard to find .. anybody heard and know where to make such an application ? Thank you

You not only have to stay on the land but you have to build on it. You have to remove the trees and brush and make it farmable within a certain amount of time. I'm not sure if non-canandians qualify for it.

Partially, it's branding. The line comes from the Star Spangled Banner, which was written about the US and became our national anthem. Although I don't think it helps Canada's case that they had to ask the Queen of England for the right to amend their constitution without permission only 30 years ago. Even if it was a commonwealth of a monarchy in name only, that's still not exactly something that rings out freedom in most people's minds.
