does this mean these are the only compatable graphics cards i can get? whats my limits on what graphics cards i can buy........ i'm trying to learn this comp thing

The AGP slot is for higher end graphics cards. the PCI slots are for other purposes, though there are graphics cards that will work on PCI instead of AGP. The better graphics cards are AGP cards, so you shouldn't have a problem.

You have three PCI slots 0,1, and 2 and one AGP slot. The AGP slot would be the best choice as it was designed specifically for a graphics adapter.
