I would get another car but since you already put in so much money than I would get new head gaskets installed it will not be cheap or you could have the engine rebuilt because they will both be around the same price. $1,000 to $1,500 Is it worth it to you?
These are good cars but s""t happens

There is a lot of good info for you to look at here but I ll just let you know how I tend to go at starter problems first with a test light hooked to ground check your main power wire at the starter If the light lights good if not you have an open in the main wire some weres from the battery to the starter check it all over Next thing to check is if you have power on your ignition do this by hooking the test light to ground again probe the ignition wire at the starter (its the small wire most of the time on gms purple) have some one turn the key to crank if the light lights ever thing on the ignition circuit is good and the starter is bad if the test light dose not light there's an open in the ignition circuit at this point I would pull the starter relay find out what pin is coming from the key check for power in crank here with the test light to ground if the light lights then ever thing from that point to the key is ok and your problem is either the relay or an open from the relay to the starter if there’s no power then go to the next brake point in the circuit i.e. fuse clutch switch and so on right to the key I could go on and on but I think you get the idea by now get a wiring diagram find out how the system works before you even open the hood don’t fix things by replacing part after part find the problem part before you ever buy a part ever elcrotonic system has powers and grounds make sure you have them all in the end its cheaper and faster GM tech

Sounds like a head gasket but before spending more money, go to www.crc industries.com click on K and W Nanotechnology Permanent Head Gasket and Block Repair. You make the decision to try. Also make sure your radiator fan is now working.

If you have the 3.1V6 It is your Intake Manifold Gasket. I have been selling Chevy's for 12 years and this is a common problem with 3.1 engines with 50-60,000+ miles. If you bring it to a mechanic, I guarantee that is what it is. sorry you threw all that money into it for the wrong problem. I would go to a different mechanic

Mabe its just the intake gasket depending on how hot it got. Have a mech pull the plugs and pressure test cooling system if theres coolant in cylinders then its time for a engine.

You forgot to change out the head gaskets, because that's what it sounds like, if the car was overheating, and now the fluids are mixing.
