having sex is not a myth it does help the uterus contract. however they say that sex and walking only help if you are a day from labor anyway. I read this recently as I am 39 weeks and 4 days my doctor preformed the poke and sweep on Monday. If your cervix is dilated 1 cm maybe he could try it for you. as for your baby dropping it will when it is ready some women drop weeks before due and others just days. you must be patient it will happen for you soon.

I heard squatting is good, i know its an embarrassing position, but someone said it speeds up dilation of the cervix. personally i would walk around and just stand still with my partner when a contraction would come, it does make sense though because the baby's head would be applying pressure on the cervix.

When I was having my first baby, he went up instead of down, I think he thought he was coming out of my mouth instead!!! The midwife made me do squats, with my husband's help as I was in terrible pain, for about 3 hours, (on and off) and it worked. If it was another midwife she would have taken me straight to the theater for a Cesarean.

My sister has two baby boys. When I watch them I usualy let him rest his head on my shoulder, rock him, and pat his back all at the same time.

Are you trying to speed up labor?
Well you can rub your nipples to stimulate the uterus contracting
