Unfortunately yes. I went to school with someone who also had a very ambiguous name. It took me several years to figure out that she was a she.

Yes i have wondered that to. But you can tell if it is a boy or girl. A guy's adam's apples sticks out, but girls there doesn't.

Oh yeah.
I still rmemeber when I worked in a supermarket ages ago; it was closing time so I had to tell this one person to leave. I started off with, "Excuse me, sir...er, ma'ma.. er, whatever. We're closed." They looked just like Pat from SNL. Not my best moment!

Frequently, the way they dress and their hairdos, plus the mannerisms, and mouths, some girls sound like off shore men, with filthy mouths.

LOL Yes! OMG, this has happened to me sooo many times. It is totally embarrassing if you presume they are the wrong gender

Yes, I have. And, once I even talked to someone as if they were the opposite sex of what they really were. Very embarrassing!!
