It will as soon as the Bluray fad dies out. I have a feeling it isnt going to catch on like Sony wants it to, for the simple fact that its too expensive. I give the PS3 maybe 10 months and it will drop in price. It has to be after the holidays because Sony wants to make their buck! I mean if you want a system that is still a step ahead of the PS3, go for the Wii of the Xbox 360. They're both better and cheaper, plus from what Best Buy told me yesterday....the PS3 not only costs $600 but the games will be about twice as much as Xbox and Wii games.

Just wait for it to depreciate. Because it will. Then all the people that paid six hundred bucks for it will feel stupid. (they should feel stupid anyway!) Fighting over this console, and hurting each other. What I couldnt believe was: These are the same people that complained about gas prices going up $1.50, but they can go out and blow $600 on a piece of plastic, that will just lose its value. Sorry!

Instead of fighting for a game station, they should be fighting for something else, something that matters.

My Two cents guys!

I think it will be under $300 in five years or more so you will have to wait a long time before you can get a ps3 for that price

Give it at least two-three years. Think about it, you can't even get the Xbox 360 Premium for $300 or under, and its been almost a year since it was released. Give it some time and be patient. MABYE you can get it cheaper on eBay some time next year.

Maybe after the price of Bluray players comes down. That's the real deal right now. Bluray player $1000, PS3 $600.

Sure. It's hard to put a date on when it might happen, but it will. With the speed with which gaming industry is growing, I think it will be quicker than how the ps2 dropped in price.

The prices they are getting on Ebay for the PS-3($2000+) is a real eye-opener when you know the things retail for $599.
