8 year old girls are starting to get into reading and still play with dolls a bit. You could get her a MyScene doll, Bratz or a Barbie complete with accessories. Or, if she is into books, a book in the Great Illustrated Classics series may be a good option. Also, DVDs are always a good choice.

Bratz dolls are all the rage here with this age group in the UK. Lots of add ons like dvd's, books and makeup.

Just watch the commercials that air on those kid channels (Disney, Nickelodeon). 8 year olds probably love those Bratz dolls.

I have a 9 year old daughter, so this is a few things she is interested in...BRATS dolls, hair accessories, Mary-Kate and Ashely clothes, Cheeta Girls (Disney channel) movies or cd's. Hope this helps!!

My daughter, and my niece both wanted this new toy called Moonsand. It is like sand and it is reuseable. Anyway, you can find it a Walmart, Kmart, Target, etc., for about $20.

i actully think that american girls are one of the best you can ever get because myscene,bratz,and barbie are bit weird.american girl dolls are great!but they cost about 100 dollars but they great!!
