on a 727 torqueflite do i put the tranny fluid in through the dipstick tube or is there another place?

.I used to own a Dodge Pickup that had a 727.

You add through the dipstick tube. A funnel is helpful.

Make sure you add when the transmission is warmed up to operating temperature and don't over fill.

Through the dipstick tube, but first make sure you need fluid by checking the trans when hot with engine at idle and on level ground. You do not want to overfill. then when adding only add a little bit at a time to ensure you do not overfill.

There is only one place to put it. that's the tube with a funnel. This other place you refer to worries me.

Funnel and dip stick tube. Thats how it has been done for years.
