Read New Moon by Stephenie Meyer?

Question

Okay. I read the Wikipedia article on New Moon and it says that Bella gets Edward to turn her into a vampire at the end. Is it true?
Someone please tell me. I'm dying to know.

Oh and one more thing; do they end up together at the end?

I haven't read the Wikipedia article on the book--I plan to do so before hitting submit--but I have read New Moon twice.

Bella is no closer to becoming a vampire at the end of New Moon than she was at Twilight. It is not ambiguous. She is not a vampire. It has been a few months, but I believe the pact was that she would get turned by Edward when she was ready to marry him AND after she had graduated high school. Something like that. He wanted to give her time to grow and mature.

They are a couple at the end of the book though.

The wikipedia article does not state that she IS turned, just that they've agreed that in some point in time he will turn her. But I will grant you that it is an awkward sentence that could use some clarification.

"The group leaves, and upon returning, Edward refuses to turn her. However, Bella convinces Edward into turning her after she agrees finishes high school, and that they get married, which leaves a possible plotline for the third book."
