No. I don't think so, but I don't really care what happens to death row inmates anyway. I just don't feel comfortable with an execution or death of anyone put on television.
Public execution is in it's own way, a form of terrorism: "See what happens to people who do this?". I believe they did that in Afghanistan under the Taliban, but it was done in Sports Arenas AND on video.
Most people know exactly what the laws are before they commit heinous crimes, yet commit them anyway. I would rather watch them on a monitor, going crazy, rotting in their cells for decades before they are put to death. I believe that is more entertaining than a quick execution.

His companion became into constantly scared so sooner or later he drew a image of his companion getting hanged and he scared his companion incredibly badly, yet Joe had a reliable snort.

Well I couldn't watch something like that. I don't care anything about watching someones life taken away. that is just my opinion. some could watch and that is fine for them, i guess i have a heart and conscience and I think that is an issue that is private. I wouldn't want to see a rape or a child harmed either, so there ya go.

After a public execution pre-meditated murders drop SLIGHTLY and then rise HIGHER than the previous peak.
So no, just for that reason alone.
Also, who would be sicker, the criminal or the person that wanted to watch someone else being murdered? Which is what executions are, pre-meditated murder.
Peace.

It would get a lot of ratings. I recall George Carlin's sayings. Death is not a good thing, the world seems to be divided in terms of "good person, bad person," when that's not true.

Yes, i think it should be aired. But in todays world can we really beleive everything we see on tv. Our luck it will be staged like in soap operas. Whatever happened to good old fashioned...eye for an eye and hangings... call me cruel, but I still remember my son crying on 9/11.

Not only should they be televised but they should have death matches between death-row and life withour parole inmates like Roman Gladiator fighting.
All Hail Ceasar, thumbs down to dissenters.

I don't know why anyone would want to see someone killed, whether they deserve it or not! I think that Saddam deserves what he's getting, but a public hanging, what kind of world do we live in that people would want to watch someone hanged to death? it makes me ill!

No, you don't want it to be glorified like they did in middle ages and 19th centuries in Europe and U.S.A., and it is still being publicized in middle eastern countries. Look at the difference between how the mind is affected between our countries and theirs.
