He is still responsible for child support. If he mailed the check, it is legal for you to cash it. The restraining order only means that he cannot come within a certain distance of you. Even if it says that he cannot contact you, you would have to be the one to complain.

Yes I would take it, cash it, and use it for what it was intended. As long as the delivery of the check does not violate the restraining order then there is no problem. Have them mail it.

Nope. Your restraining order probably only stipulates you not have any contact with this individual and/or you not come within a specified distance of them or their home.Child support is law and this individual probably has to pay. Take the check and pray only that it doesn't bounce. If it does and the individual has been ordered to pay it, they are in legal troubles of their own, should you pursue it.

If there are child support order with the state attorney general, accepit, make a copy before you cash it and take it to the AG. You need to sign an affidavit that you received it so there is no question later.

I would check with your attorney on this question. I believe you can if its for child support and the court has already orderd him to give you a check every week or every other week. I would check with the attorney who filed the restraining order for you becouse he will have a def. answer for you.

the guardian should open an account for the child, so that they don't have to see each other physically. and the mother or father wants to send money towards the child, they just have to go to the bank.
