wrecking yards. No really you can often find almost brand new tires on cars and the will often sell them for around 25 to 40 bucks depending on the size. For some reason cars with new tires are crash magnets.

Cheap tires cost more in the long run, depending on how long you keep the car. But look for a Discount Tire or Belle Tire dealership in your area.
You can also buy used tires sometimes, especially if you plan on selling the car. Ask at a tire dealership if they have a set that will fit your car. Be careful, though - you can't know how the tires were used before you got them, and you should have the same make, model, and size tires on the drive wheels.

Agh! Your question kills me! Sure, no one wants to spend a ton of money on their tires... but like with most things, YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. You'll want a reliable tire that fits your car and your driving needs. I recommend BFGoodrich... it's part of the Michelin brand (Michelin, BFGoodrich, Uniroyal). Take your car to a Discount Tire, Tires Plus, etc... and have them see if they have any in stock for your wheel size. Having an inadequate tire can cause an accident. Good luck!
By the way, I did some looking on www.discounttire.com to get some ideas for you and found tires ranging from $45 (Mohave RS) to $85.00 (BFGoodrich Long Trail T/A).
