There are a few changes that I would make to your procedure that might help your problem. Okay, first off you might want to clean your eyes first, whether it is with a facial cleanser or even just clean water and to dry your face completely with a towel. Secondly, after you have dried your face off, you probably don't need to use blotting tissue, so that saves you some money. Completely skip the mattifying powder and just apply primer and concealer. After trying this with UDPP, continue to the eyeshadow step. However, if you still experience the same problem, stop using UDPP and try a different kind of primer. I use The Body Shop's Matte Primer and it works for a good full work day. The reason why you want to skip the powder part is because when there is too much powder on skin, it will start to cake up and since that is the most bottom layer in your procedure, the caking will push up the primer which is suppose to help set in the eyeshadow, so that will push the eyeshadow off. So make sure to start with a clean face, apply moisturizer you can avoid your eyelids if you want to, then apply the primer and try to find a brand that works for your skin type. Just because Urban Decay works for other people, it doesn't necessarily mean that it will work for your skin. And then place on the concealer wherever you want it in case you want your eyelids to match your foundation or some scenario like that. The other thing is, is that you seem to have the mono-half lids according to your description, its the lids that look like double lids but have little space between the two lids. In this case you might want to consider leaving your eyes open to apply eyeshadow over your eyelid and into the area between your brow bone and your top lid. I say this because when you have your lids open the top lid logically covers over the lower lid anyways and so you won't really be able to see the color. And also try to stick to an eyeshadow color that will blend in easily with your eyeliner color as well. (For example, if you are using a black liner, try to use a brown shadow or even use it as the outer corner color to create depth) Hope this helps!

Try the Mary Kay Eye Primer. It helps prevent creasing!

Use an oil mattifier. I use the one from Mary Kay and my eyeshadow never creases. Put it on the top and let it dry. It only takes a few seconds. Then, apply your eyeshadow over that. Then ur good to go. One brand that I swear by with their eyeshadow is MAC. I use it all of the time and I don't have to wear the mattifier with it because it stays right were you put it. Good Luck!

Benefit has a great base that you can apply before the shadow so tha it does not crease and lasts all day long. I recently got married and purchased the product and used everyday since. It is $20 for a smaller bottle, but it only takes a tiny bit and it lasts all day! I have had mine for almost two months and it still is almost full. try it, it's the best!

you can try putting liquid foundation on your eyelids first. but i have also found that the quality of your eyeshadow makes a difference as well. don't use cream eyeshadows. they creas up very badly. this, i find out after i bought three packs of various colors of cream shadow....oh well. the best eyeshadow i have ever used is clinique, my lids never look creased. even after a night out on the town. good luck!!

I had the same problem until I started putting more powder on my eyes before I used the eyeshadow and it works pretty good.

What's really good and also helps with keeping your eyeshadow color on and looking fresh w/o fading is a 'eyeshadow primer'. MAC has a really good one in diff. beige tones. I started using it and it keeps my eyeshadow from creasing and fading! Other brands have eye primers as well.

before putting shadow on your eyelids, use powder foundation on them, it will create a better surface for your eye shadow.

there is also more and more crease-free eye shadow out there you can try.

i love MAC paints for this not only does it make it not crease but makes the color pop more! you can get your normal skin tone colors ( untiled bare canvas if your skin is darker bamboo) but if your doing a smokey eye theres a black paint called graphito if your using pink eyeshadow canton candy is best, etc you only apply a thin layer tho...i swear by MAC paints :)
