I had supervised visitation granted but it was a permanent order.

Baby was only 6 weeks old so the supervised part wasn't hard to get.

have not personally, but i been dealing with family courts the last 3 years. more information and i could probly help you with an answer. My 2 oldest are with their dad... because he ...blanked...me over. i left them in his care, in their house for 2 weeks until school was over and to let me find a place to live....trying to less harm and intrusion to their normal schedule/finish school year. Well by that time he contacted a lawyer and had custodial/temporary custody, meaning i couldnt just take them now. We had an agrreement., i thot i could trust him, we were 2gether 15 years, he was abusive to me, but never the kids. i knew they were safe with him for 2 weeks. I have been fighting now 3 years to get my babies back. Even tho i triedto do what was in THEIR best interest, i have supervised visits now....well suppose to,, havent for almost 6 months even tho its court order.
so basically if there is no reason to keep dad from kids then, then of course the judge will rule for visitation. They have every rite in the world to be part of his life unless you can prove or give doubt as to why it would not be " IN THE BEST INTEREST OF THE CHILD"
as for the temp. part... the judge probly wishes to see 'how things go' before a final order is made.
