NO !!
Firstly, because this essentially puts a price on human life and dignity. Life can be given, it should not be sold.
Second, because it's usually a short term decision, that can be dearly regretted if you live long enough. You will of course sell only organs you can live without, a kidney or an eye... but what if, later in life, your remaining one fails, and you don't have the money to replace it? You're in the doo doo, possibly dead if it was a kidney.

The organs whould go to the rich instead of those that would gain the most benefit. Selecting the best crossmatch would be replaced by capping bids on eBay based on the bidders impression of the likelihood of success. Quality would fall. Years of life gained per transplant would fall. The free market is not well equiped to make medical decisions.

Once we OK such a practice, what prevents "harvesting", where I have a kidney forcibly removed? And what if I get smacked twice and have no kidneys at all?
I realzie that my scenario is an extreme example, but I am against organs for cash

It sounds immoral as hell, but, like anything, it's about supply and demand. Following that logic, the rich stand a better chance of living longer, since they can afford to purchase, whereas the average guy is SOL!
