I was 57 when my husband walked out with my younger sister (18 years younger) try that on top of turning your world upside down. It has been hard and I have cried a million tears. But Iife does go on. The pain does get better with time. Holidays are the worst. My lawyer said it takes 3 months for each year you were married to get over the pain. I was married 38 years , which means it will take me 9.5 years to be pain free. I am hoping it won't take that long. If you need to talk with someone that has been there I have and am still working thur the pain and madness of a divorce. Good luck and God bless

Get that self esteem going dude ! My boyfriend was married for 38 years and he's 57 and he's statring over with me. People say he has a light in his eyes that they've never seen and once he was shy and quite but now he seems more lively and talkative. You can have a relationship again and NOT all women are out there trying to get your money. Love does matter to some of us women. I'm 52 by the way and I'm strating over also. I was married for 22 years. God bless and keep hoping and it'll all work out.

Yes you can start over again! I just got a divorce, (im 37 and its my second), but i am getting remarried again next month, to a wonderful man. Love doesnt know age, not saying you have to get married again, but you can find someone that you enjoy spending time with.

Don't try to start a romance, try to create the life worth living.

Close your eyes and make a wish about what your life should be and then take a baby step to get closer to that life.

If you can find a reason to feel good today then you will be starting over.

Baby steps.

OH,. YES YOU CAN. YOUR LIFE IS JUST STARTING. JUST GIVE IT A TRY. MOST OF MY FRIENDS HAVE STARTED OVER IN THEIR 50'S AND EVEN 60'S. IT'S NOT THE END OF THE WORLD. I WAS 55 WHEN I GOT A DIVORCE AND HAVE SINCE REMARRIED AND AM VERY HAPPY.

well im going through the same here myself. divorced at 48. it does get me down alot. but i have focused on myself rather than starting all over with "someone else" i am starting my life over, i get to do a lot of the stuff i enjoy with out having to focus my attention on my spouse. i come and go as i please, cook or dont cook, have control of the remote...haha. in the beginning i was very angry at him because he had the affair and all that boring details which i wont go through. then i was sad, i still get sad and lonely, but it passes and lasts smaller and smaller amounts of time as the days pass. i have focused on what makes me happy and am learning new things that i enjoy. hope this helps. it does help to have friends to talk to.
