first you must give a better definition than just Hemi-there are a bunch ,Mopar alone has 3 - 392-426-5.7L and a soon to be released 6.0L . All are very different except for the 5.7 and 6.0 those should share some components, also within each engine size you have different cams carbs etc available. Also FORD made a "hemi" in the form of the "BOSS 429" that to this day has the worlds SEXIEST valve covers! The 429 cobra jet was a warmed over 429 4 bbl- no match for the mopar 426 hemi or the Boss 429 either ,but more than a match for the old 392 hemi-hope this helps

It all depends who built it but the compression is higher on a Hemi and it will not last as long. I am a Ford guy so I would take the Big Block Blue oval Motor. Unless you were talking about a Big Blue Hemi which I doubt because they are very, very, rare and expensive. Dodge Sucks! They make good motors but it is almost 2007 and they Still can NOT build a good Tranny!

Both are great. But why a CJ and not a Boss 9? By the way Nascar banning? Come on they are as crooked as a politician. Mopar what? where have they been since the 60's?
