would jay (boy) and joy (girl) work?

Before you decide to give your twins matching/rhyming names please consider reading some of the twin books out there like "Having Twins" by Elizabeth Noble or "The Art of Twin Parenting" or "Double Duty" by Tinglof.
All of the "experts" I've read talk about the importance of giving twins their own identities and how it can be damaging to give them matching names. This helped me when I was trying to decide what to name my twins.
If you have your heart set on matching/rhyming names I would suggest that you go with names that can be turned into nicknames that match. For instance if you name one Jason and the other Joy you can nickname them Jay and Joy but later on the boy can choose to be called Jason instead. OR, give them unique middle names so that if they want they can go by their middle names later on in life.

well when i was pregnant with twins i thought about having similar names for them it was going to be Daniel and Danielle but my cousins are twins and have similar names one if Johnna and one is john well i guess that's not a good idea because my cousins hate having similar names now that they are older so decide on baylee Marie and Kenneth lee. well i had a miscarriage so my best Friend asked if she could use those names in good spirt of the memory's of them
