Check out the underground in the former Soviet Union and in China. We already know how a society reacts to it. Some live with it and go on with the establishment, and others risk their lives for freedom.

In America today, most would follow the status-quo rather than make a sacrifice. Others will pay a horrible price to fight for their freedoms.

Well, we wouldn't know would we? In fact, it may already be gone, and you wouldn't know. Communications systems, such as the press, TV, and radio are the first things an invading army take control of in a country - it's what we did in Iraq. If you control the media, then the truth is what you say it is.
