For those of you that don't like Hip-Hop, just move on Cause I'm sure I don't prefer what you listen to and I havent heard it. Don't need to I got enough flavor. So find another reason to be racist.

Yo for those of you who do listen, Jay-Z, Nas, Talib Kwalie, Mos Def, Common , Method Man I'm sure I can think of more who fit into this Hip-Hop Category. Who's on your hip -hop list?

Twinks if you listent to a jay-Z album vs, maybe Young Joc there is a Huge differecne in the Content, not saying one is better than the other, I'd just say one is more Limited than the other.

Look at how Big Jay-Z is he's tied so so many communites around the country. He's not just a Rapper, he's a artits.

Hey thanks Twinks, I actually listen to everything there is, Techno, Salsa, I like music in italian helps me learn the language better, I work out to rock, I love the Killers that was the name of my FlagFootball team this summer.

I made those comments to keep Racist judgemental people off my post. Your Cool thou. Here's a tip Buy Jay-Z first album on Amazon it's Called Reasonable Doubt, then His new one Kingdom Come is at Target for 10 bucks, you'll see He's actually talking about something real, and the music is just base, it's Live and it's cool. Trust me

All the artist you listed ARE rap.
I'm not trying to be insulting or anything...but doesn't most rap fall in the Hip Hop category?
I was once told that Hip Hop was more of lifestyle. Is this true?

That is interesting. I respect what a lot of artists have done to change the history of Hip Hop.
I, personally am more of an "old school" person when it comes to Hip Hop music (I guess some would consider it R & B)... I loved Mary J. Blidge & Jodeci back in the day.
Now a days my taste has changed a lot. I absoultley LOVE The Killers. I know you said that you didn't want to know about anything other than Hip Hop, but you should look them up...they are really a good band.
I learned something new today, and shared something that may be new to you also.
Thanks again....with much respect,
::Twinks::

I will do! Thanks!

Jay-z's new CD is hot. I picked it up last night. Talib Kwalie is the truth. Don't like Common. When Common first came out in the 90's he was a rapper. He talked about B**ches and H*es and now I don't like his style. I am done with Kayne West. He can't keep his mouth shut. He called bi-racial women mutts.

Kanye, Kelis, Nas,
I think most of the artists out there contribute to hip-hop in some way or another, even if they are considered rappers. But I did like the artists that you listed!

i listen to everything. (rock, pop, r&b, rap, hip-hop, etc.) you need to listen to different varieties of music, not just ONE.
