I just found out that my scottrade does not actual put the dividend back into the stock, just puts in to my account so i can buy more stock (and they can get more of that money for commission!) help me please find the best site to use!

Etrade does. I have used it for years.

Try Sharebuilder - they reinvest in your account free of charge.

But also - are you sure that your account with Scottrade is set up to re-invest dividends....sometimes you have to ask.

I have never heard of a broker that does that.

You may be able to buy into a mutual fund through a broker that has dividend reinvestment, but brokers do not have DRIP plans for their customers.

I believe Firstrade does this, but you have to fill out a form to let them know you want to do that. It's not standard.
