Did you read the specifications?
I went to the sites in your question and there is nothing to compare looking at the specs!
Glaring differences?
.
AMD Turion™ 64 X2 TL-50 OR older, slower 32 bit • Mobile AMD Sempron™ 3400+
• 100GB hard drive compared to • 80GB hard drive
64 X2 TL-50 is a dual core, 64bit Processor, don't even consider the Sempron!
100GB drive to a 80GB drive? Is that a question?

Answer: definetely the second PC is better, although both processors are AMD, the first one has a sempron processor, and the second one a turion processor, is like comparing the power of a 4 cylinder car with a 8 cylinder car, both take you form A to B, but the second one is going to be smoother, faster, and in the case ot these PCs, if, in the future you want to change the OS to the new Microsoft Vista, you can do that with a Turion, but not with a sempron.
besides... I have the experence that processors sempron and celeron, they tend to freeze more often than any others...

I'd ignore the reviews.
there are not enough reviews to make a substantial difference. Although both systems say 2 when I clicked on the one only one review showed up...
HP bought out compaq
In regards to laptops.
I've owned HP - and never had a problems with them.
Currently I own a Dell and I've not had any problems there either.
I switched to dell because of a company I used to work for only went with Dell and they have offices in every state. So that told me something about their dependability.

Pc 2 is a dual core processor which can make your computer preform better. It is also taller then the first one and thiner then the first once. That is the only diffrence I see. It has a lower processor speed 1.6ghz instead of 1.8ghz only because it is dual core. both the computer has the same bus speed at 1600mhz
As for PC prefrences I have none, laptops are almost the same unlike desktop. It all leads to what was your experience with the companies laptop. If its good you buy anotehr one in the future if it is bad you try another company.

The only difference I can see is in the processors, the first one I think would give you great battery life, but would be as good for computer intensive stuff. The second one would be good for doing things like photo and video editing and gaming, the first one wouldn't be as good for doing those types of things.
