Well, being a teenager myself, I would say the vast majority of us are ignorant, apathetic idiots. But there is a number of us that show promise and really do care about their education and what's going on in the world.

It amazes me the short attention span that some of the kids have today. They get bored too easily, it seems and would think sitting down in front of TV and watch the kind of stuff that I watched when I was their ages. The trouble is that they have nearly everything and still the world seems to hold no pleasure. But then where does this lack of respect for society, other people and cultures come from? Well look at education, the parents and then do the Maths...it's all a joint responsibility. If quite a few adults in today's society can come across as aggressive, rude and have no manners, why should they expect younger people to be polite, kind and considerate? It is scary that there is "won't help" culture at the moment, people can help, but they won't as they are either too afraid or just can't be bothered anymore. It is a small wonder that our society is falling apart at the seams. The children are the next generation, so all ought to be taught to learn some respect, but also to be respected in the same midst. I'm afraid that the problems are deeply rooted with people only thinking of the short term and not the long term future, which demonstrates that we are led by idiots in a sense. What I say is, educate, punish those who do wrong with proper punishments, stop saying one group is to blame and go back to the beginning to find out where it all started going wrong. I also say that some older people can be ruder than some younger ones ie pushing in queues, not waiting for people to leave the bus before getting on them, tones of voices and the way they speak etc. There ought to be zero tolerance for rudeness and the likes of bullying which is all too apparent in today's culture. If I had my way, I would sort the lot of them out and never let anyone put up with getting bullied or pushed around in any way, shape or form. Life's too short!

First I'll have to admit that I'm almost 50. Now for my views. I think teenages in todays world are facing more pressures on a daily basis than any generation in history. I also strongly believe that they are doing an admirable job of dealing with those pressures. Of course there are problems that we hear about. In that regard this generation of young people is no different than any that has gone before. I can honestly say that I am heartened at the thought that these teenagers will be the workers, artists and leaders of the future.

They're just growing kids. People sometimes react to adolescents like they are animals that need to be locked away, but really if they do something wrong, you can usually trust they will learn from it when they reach adulthood. The years of adolescence are the years of choice, where ethical decisions come to life.

I love teenagers, they make me smile, they're so funny, they act all tough but they're not really if you just talk to them like human beings. I know they would hate it but I still see them as kids and the need alot of support cause most of them go through hell with hormones and stuff and we all know how hard that is.

Smart, less naive and innocent than past Teens, over exposed to too much media, shallow, passionate, narrow focused, worldly, calculating, too eager to grow up.

Overall, no better or worse than other generations of the modern era.

Teenagers of today's world are much brighter. Their level of education surpasses ours. However, too many of them are spoiled rotten therefore making them lazy. Alot of them do not have people skills. Its sad and really really too bad, but its our faults for spoiling them so.
