I need clear techniques for how to do a drum roll

Hold the stick lightly. Now make the stick bounce off the head. Now use both hands for the "bouncing" really fast off the drum head.
If you don't understand, get a sharpened pencil. Pinch it near the top lightly then lets it fall to the surface of a wooden table (or other). Get a second pencil and try to do a drum roll. Now go back to the previous step and use real sticks.

no, grab the middle of the sticks on your palms and rotate them so to and fro real quickly, front back front back front back front back, as quickly as you are able to with the two your palms could create the final drum roll. in case you choose for to do it on a table say inclusive of your palms positioned your index on the best and the middle finger below the lip of the table and circulate up and right down to create a great drum roll. i'm hoping that enables, Kate
