I am talking about the noise cancellation technology earphones, which has a sponge which fits into the ear. are they comfortable enough for long hours of music or are the normal headphones comfortable which fits around the head or also behind the neck.

i for my section want them to be common. It took a collectively as to get them to slot in and than stay and that i hated them initially yet those I even have are an astounding pair and the sound high quality is dazzling (additionally shows whilst the common of a music is sh*tty). yet i'm able to;t use head ones, they make my ears harm whilst the cartilage is being pushed back. i'm somewhat comfortable. i be conscious of they'd be a discomfort for quite some human beings yet i for my section have not any qualms with them in any respect.

I've used in ear noise cancelling earphones before and I didn't find them very comfortable, and felt like like they kept wanting to pop out!

Absolutely not. Go with the Sennheiser CX300's, they sound 100 times better than anything apple makes.
