It made me feel that as a researcher and historian Dan Brown leaves A LOT to be desired, but as a fiction writer he is OK. I enjoyed the book, but was able to look past the silly "facts" that are purported to be truths that caused so much controversy.

I've read the Davinci code and Angels and devils I enjoyed them both I enjoyed the way that he blended facts, myths and fiction together. Having read both I think his first book Angels and Devils is the most controversial of the two.

I disliked the book so much and it was successful in putting me off the movie. It bored the bejeeziz out of me. I worked in a bookstore at the time it was published and then hyped to highdom. I was the only person on the planet who hadn't read it it seemed. I gave into the pressure to read it only to discover it was a pile of &*%T!
I have to admit though, I dont like Harry (fecking) Potter either, so I'm not the norm it seems.
Karma.

Are you asking about the book or movie? This is the book section. As a book I thought it was a reasonably entertaining work of fiction. I could not understand all the uproar it caused. People seemed to forget that it is fiction and it caused all this religious uproar which only served to increase the sales of a so-so book.

the book is great, but the movie sucks. i don't see the point in staging the book. it's main value is in the information it provides, and not in some philosophical, social or psychological contemplations, which it completely lacks. so, when you come to the movie, you already know what it will be about, why watch it then? though Tom Hanks is really hot - he's the only "thing" worth watching.

I listened to part of the book on cd on a long drive... and I didn't like it. I don't see what all hype's about.
