I've heard that hindus can't even live in a muslim neighborhood peacefully and the same for muslims in hindu neighborhoods. Is this true? Is there a lot of hindu-muslim tension in Hyderabad?

All the communities live peacefully in Hyderabad and Secunderabad ( Twin Cities ). In fact, all the communities live peacefully in the entire south India.
Hyderabad and Secunderabad has flourished mainly due to the Infotech boom in India and the Govt of Andhra Pradesh has taken very good measures to ensure that Hyderabad and Secunderabad becomes the most important IT centers in India. As an important part of these measures, the AP Govt has ensured that all the communities live peacefully there. There is no collonization and the city offer cosmopolitan culture.
Things have changed a lot in India, my friend!! It is an intellectually developed nation, my friend.
