First impulse: yes.
Then, I remember we have a nasty tendancy to imprison/punish the innocent, so the evidence would have to be pretty overwhelming. Otherwise, no.

We are in a civilized place here, go back to the middleeast or africa where they still practice middle age style justice.
When they reintroduce chopping off hands, ears and noses for thieves and other nasties, and when murderers are executed less than 2 years after being sentenced, maybe I'll revise this opinion.

um.
so should they also get their hands chopped off?
their mouths?
There is more than one way to commit a sex offense against an individual.
There are women sex offenders too; what are you going to chop off on them?

We do enjoy, so much, envisioning the dire punishments we might hand down, don't we?
I'm minded that we also have a tendency to convict innocent people.
On your "eye fo an eye" scale, would an innocent person, who was unable to establish his innocence until some time after you had "chopped" him, come to you for replacement of his missing equipment with yours?
Until we have infallible reliability in convicting people of whatever offence, we have to allow the probability of getting it wrong now and then, and of being able to do something to try to compensate the innocent, but convicted, for their wrongful conviction.

I remember reading once about a repeat sex offender who begged to be castrated. I think if it would really stop or limit a persons drive or ability to commit these offenses than it's not completely a disregardable idea.

Don't be ridiculous. Feminists, have broadened the definition of sex offences to include a whole range of things. I assume you are a man, so don't be a prat. Who's side are you on.
If you don't believe me read 'len m' above. There are some very nasty women around; don't empower them.

I don't think they should get the chop, but I reckon there must be some kind of drug out there which would take away their urges.

I have heard of chemical castration, where in the case of peadophiles they administer drugs that remove all sexual urges completely. Myself personally, I would like to chop there nuts off.

Hell yes. See ya ding-dong! They also molest by touching and viewing? Maybe, but it always results in them busting a nut. Take away that ability and take away the motivation. Oh, and females get a historectomy and thier snatch sewn up.
