I'm married, but usually pretty miserable. My friend is a beautiful young woman who is tired of waiting for the perfect guy and just plans on getting laid whenever she feels like it. At first i assumed the promiscuity would make her sad, but now i envy her. I wish i had that kind of freedom. she should probably enjoy it while she can. what does the group think?

Yeah....just getting pleasure whenever you can get it...is highly overrated....having one person who really cares for you...is so much more rewarding! Maybe you need to look for a new man! lol

you have to think what about your relationship is making you miserable. If you really feel that way sooner or later you will do something to hurt your partner. You need to really search what it is you really need and if it is worthwhile. If you have children, how will your actions affect them? I know that having different partners is fun and a learning experience with every time, but at the end you are alone. When I was married I would just think that I was at a place where people will one day get themselves. People have fun until they get to the person they want to share a lifetime with. You are already there. You need to truly analyze deep within yourself what is lacking in your life and act on it, without being selfish.

Hedonism is not the best plan, but I can't say marriage is either. Her freedom probably looks a whole lot better from where you are standing. She probably has issues you couldn't imagine. It might be fun for a while.

There's nothing wrong with promiscuity. It doesn't make you sad; it's actually fun. But it does get old after a while, kinda like eating too much chocolate. There's time and place for everything.

I think you are too immature to be married and can't grasp the idea of a true commitment to someone. I feel sorry for your husband.

I don't think some people understood the question. As I took it you are asking what we think about your friend.

If she is not looking for a steady relationship and is having safe sex, have fun!
