He only does it for the fame and money. I think it's really sad though because you know deep down he really wants to help people. He used to have the saddest talk shows and when he spoke at the end of the show it actually had some deep meaning. How could a guy like that help people and turn around and do stupid entertainement shows? I really want to know when he's going to say STOP to the maddest he's created. But then again, the money keeps coming....

Very much so. It gratifies his ego.
The downside is that to get this ego boost, he has to appear like an idiot.
