You know I am better off these past six years than I ever have been. I am making more money, have bought a house and 2 cars, have bought a boat and am able to give my children a life I never dreamed of. I work hard and reap the benefits. I do not see the horrible America that many are proclaiming exists. We have not had a terrorist attack on our soil and I truly feel my President is looking out for me. So "No", I do not see the regression you do.

The fact of the matter is that we are not in bad shape. Bush inherited a recession and turned it around. Bush inherited a severe terrorism problem and has protected the nation from further attacks.
I know people keep screaming about a supposed loss of 'civil liberties' but I cannot think of anything I could do 7 years ago that I cannot do today.

Bush - has given us the lowest unemployment ever @4%, the strongest economy with the tax cuts. However I think it could have been better had he had a spine and actually vetoed a bill or too instead of placating to the democrats, he should have been more fiscally prudent with spending - reducing ear mark spending for bridges in Alaska - and research on the mating habits of toads. No more pork barrel spending measures.

My personal perspective is that it has not regressed at all. The economy is great, we own our house, have our daughter in a great public school, have both progressed in our careers, own two cars, can pay our bills with enough left over to put into savings, have gotten our daughter a pre-paid college education fund, and are doing well. The rest of my family and friends are in similar situations. No regression here!

It has regressed by giving more of a voice to terribly uninformed people (i.e., Michael Moore, Al Franken, Hollywood, the music industry, and various other logic impaired souls).

“the 2d variety you have at those parades seems to be the folk who elect to mislabel Hitler. all human beings in the worldwide is Hitler. Bush is Hitler, Ashcroft is Hitler, Rumsfeld is Hitler. the only guy who isn't Hitler is the distant places guy with a mustache dropping people who disagree with him into the wood chipper. he isn't Hitler.” --Dennis Miller

You wont get many complaints from Bush's base.
You will have to go out into middle class communities of mixed races to find out.
It was better for everyone during Clinton. There are still many who are doing well, but many more are not.
If the Interest Rate hadn't been cut a few years ago we would be discussing when we are getting out of the Bush recession.
Greenspan saved Bush's behind and the housing market saved the nation again.
And oh, unlike the PC patrol, I hope and KNOW that the dems will remember the Hounding and Witchhunting of Pres. Clinton in order to turn the citizens against him so the Repubs could get the white house.
I Hope , no , i KNOW the Dems ARE going to return the favor.
They are building the case as we speak.
If they did that to Clinton and finally cornered him into talk of sex, You better believe they are going to go after the Bushies. And they will get him.
Its just a matter of time. The sooner the better.

It has not. The economy is the best ever, and we are exposing terrorism. Now, if we follow the democRATS, taxes will be raised and we will have to apologize for living.
