in ONE game of college football, any team can beat any other team. this includes notre dame's ABILITY to beat USC.
however, given all the circumstances, it is unlikely that notre dame will win. USC will win for sure. here are some interesting notes:
1. coach weis has reviewed all of USC's offensive & defensive plays this year
2. notre dame returns nearly all of their team from last year
3. USC will be playing for a chance at the national championship
4. USC's crowd will be too much for notre dame to handle
5. notre dame's secondary will not be able to stop USC's receivers
6. USC's defense is playing better and better. they shut down the high-powered offenses of oregon and cal. they have the ability to shut down notre dame's too.
so can ND win? yes. but will they win? no.

Oregon State beat USC, so can Notre Dame. SC got real lucky last year. Sooner or later Notre Dame's going to get a lucky break. The Coliseum is not as intimidating to Notre Dame as to other teams. Notre Dame has a huge fan base everywhere they go.

Notre Dame is a streak killer. USC's home streak should be over Saturday. Notre Dame has a better team. If they can stay focused, they can, and will, beat SC.
The coliseum is not that intimidating for ND. They're fan base spreads everywhere.
It will be tight but ND will win by 6.
All I want for my birthday is to beat USC.

hell yeah notre dame has a real good shot at beating usc simply because usc doesn't have the same amount of talent that would scare notre dame

are you kidding me? notre dame has NO chance! when notre dame takes the field, they will score early, but by the second half, USC will knock it into another gear and humiliate the irish.
i'll be there to see it in person!

I absolutely think ND can beat USC. I really don't think the BCS gives ND enough credit.

I hope Norte Dame beats USC because I want my Michigan team in the BCS title game. Norte Dame can win because their hungry and Dwayne Jarret is out....

Yes, I would say that there probably are many. This is easily the best game this week.
ND is scary and USC can SUC enough to give ND a chance to win.
Looking forward to an awesome game. Hope they both come to play!

yep yep, i'm a pritty big ND fan and i really think in all my football knowledge that yes they can, they have to just do what they do on offence, but the D has to play one of there best games of the year and give quinn some breathing room so he is not fighting to win the game every drive, trying to play catch up or stay neck to neck with them all game
