There are a lot of places that you can buy a Robosapien now. I'd say watch out for getting a used one on eBay unless you're promised a brand new one. A Robosapien is too mechanical in nature to think that after it has been played with for a few months by a bunch of kids that it's going to be in good condition. But now that the RS V2 is out and the Robosapien Media is on its way, you can find the original Robosapien pretty cheaply.

In the UK, I beleive Argos are sill doing last years model for about 40 to 50 quid

try looking on ebay. Hope your child really really wants one because my son lost interest in his after 2 days. It has been gathering dust for nearly a year now.
