When I said "spirit level" a few weeks ago, my friend looked at me like I had 2 heads. But now there are digital levels, so I still use the (archaic?) term spirit level.

it's near the middle. each spirit level is intoned with an individual spirit from the surplus stores like wal-mart. new employees sign the paperwork, their spirit is sucked out of them, and placed in new spirit levels.
