I have enormous space for the director but I know very little of him, only that he is worth sitting before, could somebody improve upon so.

I don't really know what you are asking, but I recently read that David Lynch is a big supporter of Transcendental Meditation and practises it frequently and says that it helps him in his current primary occupation of conflict resolution. He recently was going to start a conflict resolution program in some high school but the parents objected because they said that TM was a kind of religion and they didn't want their kids exposed to that.

Ok...him being one of my favorites directors..i know a little something about him that you might find interesting....

Due to his peculiar style and focus on the American psyche, comedian Mel Brooks once called Lynch "Jimmy Stewart from Mars."
Lynch has gained the reputation of one of the foremost auteurs in the filmmaking industry, and one of the few living auteur's who continually defies both cinematic convention and the Hollywood curse. His films continually represent his ideal that films; representing life, should be complicated, and, in some cases and sequences, be inexplainable. I'm sure he knows why he puts the scenes and shots and props and cuts and effects and filters and lights and colors and actors and costumes and music in the scenes, but he'll never tell anyone else. For this reason, and due to the beautiful confusion of his films, he will always be recognized as if not one of the greatest filmmakers, one of the most original. Lynch is a creative master, and even if his films aren't necessarily realistic, they are real in their representation of what life is: a confusing, irrational series of random events that truly have little purpose, and one makes their own interpretation of every event, giving their life purpose personally. Lynch wants his films to resonate emotionally and instinctively, and for every person to relate and make their own understanding. As he said "Life is very, very confusing, and so films should be allowed to be, too". David Lynch is original.
David Lynch will never stop making beauty on the screen.

some extra info:
Lynch is a big fan of Bob's Big Boy restaurants, an Americana restaurant chain whose chief icon is a chubby cartoon male with a tray of dinner plates. Lynch has said that early on in his career he got a chocolate milkshake at one restaurant near his house almost every day for seven years in a row, along with "four, five, six, seven cups of coffee--with lots of sugar".
In his spare time, he also designs and builds furniture. He started building furniture from his own designs as far back as his art school days. He built sheds during the making of Eraserhead, and many of the sets and furniture used in that movie are made by Lynch. In addition, he also made some of the furniture for Fred Madison's house in Lost Highway.
Lynch also designed davidlynch.com, a site exclusive to paying members, where he posts short films and his absurdist series "Dumb Land", plus interviews and other items. The site also features a daily weather report, where Lynch gives a brief description of the weather in Los Angeles, where he resides.

I hope this helps on getting to know him a little more.

I love this little snippet.....

He has a underground cave connecting his house to his editing studio. He had tried to buy his next door neighbor's house for his editing studio, but his neighbor wouldn't sell. So now he simply goes under that neighbor's house.
