i dont like rap because the lyrics are about cars money and hos. and the women in rap videos just encourage it for money. it drives me crazy! i prefer music that actually has some kind of meaning to it, not just something with a good beat and encourages young girls to "shake their money maker like youre getting paid" something like that, i try avoid listening to such crap.

yeah, some rap is kind of stupid...."all about flossin"...BUT hey there is Mos Def, Common, Talib Kweli, The Roots,etc. who are probably some of the BEST lyricsts...They're too INTELLIGENT to make "STUPID" music. They don't get the credit they should, because they're NOT doing exactly what you think is "stupid".
So why don't we pay a little more attention on these artists.

Sometimes in life I get down and out of breath I cannot stress how hard this is for me you see I remember the DAYs that I would Jump and run arround a lot playing Tag with my frioends in the parking lot Then id get so outta breat i could even move our understand. My mother brought something new into my life when she bout me my first inhalent. because of inhalents Ive made it trough the day. I run around all day and all night and if I run outta breath I can trust him. The inhalent is my friend!

Like I just replied in another thread ... with rap ... it's no wonder some of our children are growing up, the way they are. They think because acts such as rape and murder are acceptable to sing about, it is also acceptable to commit. It's a "everything goes" kind of world. Sad.... extremely sad ....

Why is your name stoopit persin? In fact, rap is primitive, rather than stupid. It's music at about the lowest cultural level it can go. Listen to the rhythm: it's nothing but a chant rhythm. You almost don't need any words to get it. You can substitute:
"Yappa bappa BA pa bappa bappa bappa BA pa.
A-yappa bappa BA pa bappa bappa bappa BA pa."
...for the words and...
A-boom boom Boom.
A-boom boom Boom.
...for the music.
Someone who thinks that's what good music is can't be very smart.

Because it doesn't require as much talent as a genre such as rock. Rap is basically someone talking over computer generated bass and drum beats.
