None, and none was needed. Imagine that! We can actually do something without the government, who knew?

Zilch. Medical (as long as the government keeps its hands off) is an industry that is always coming up with new innovations. And these innovations are almost always driven by three things;
1) the desire to figure out how things work and create things
2) the desire to make money off of the invention
3) the desire to help mankind.

Especially because of number two, the government isn't needed in medical research.
