It seems every where i go today i am told dont say this dont do that, well my problem is my height yes i am a man in my 30's and my height is 4ft 10ins. Yes it does upset me when people call me shorty or the classic "oh sorry i didnt see you down there" but i'm supposed to just laugh it off "where,s your sense of humour" they say. WELL I'M GETTING PISSED OFF NOW and i wanna law to protect me.........the crime of being heightest will do for starters, i aint joking i want there to be an offence of heightism. The pc brigade can get lost with their "vertically challenged "label they aint doing me no favours , I'm only human and i have feelings.

too right. the government are far more interested in stupid things to worry about what really matters.
don't take people seriously about it. i know its a lot easier saying that than actually doing it. people say things like that when they don't have anything better to talk about (doesn't say alot about them) they have low self esteem and when they say hurtful things to others they feel better about themselves.
Say something back to them and see how they like it. doubt they'll find the humour then

Don't feel and think negatively. You are better than many bests. There are many many benefits of being short heighten.
Many savings, in clothing, shoes etc. A taller person has to put more pressure on his/her eyes to look at ground ( as there are away from ground), while you have benefit in that too. Some times taller persons have to bow down to pass trough a gate/ window or under the trees, but you don't need to do that. In case of weight lifting they have pick and lift higher up their heads, while you will use less power.
There are so many examples in day to day life that you cant imagine. Ask the taller ones of their problems they are facing bcoz they are tall.

I know many dwarfs with big axes who would love to help you with your problem. I suggest role-play. Get Neverwinter Nights 2, make the shortest, hardest character you can, go into on-line battle and take out all the tallest people you can...
Actually, I might have to do that myself...

everyone gets made fun of for something. I'm either "shorty" or "dumbblonde", when I'm not even blonde! And I don't mind, it's who I am. Having an ism isn't going to make it stop.

i agree, there should be some kind of law against calling people hurtful things, but you sound like a person with lots of other attributes like a good personality so don't let it bother you.
