how much is the hourly wage, or do they get a yearly salary?

They get about £32k per annum.

It's hourly and it depends on the post office. My ex was a mail carrrier and he made about $19.00/hr to start out.

Also, you have to go through a lot of testing and training before they will give you your own route to deliver on, so it takes a while before you will be making anything really.

mail men make decent money because they are working for the gov. and have LOTS of responsibilty..also remember that they have off on all holidays! I dont know the exact figure...but i know it is decent..go to jobfinder.com and you can type in mailman and it will give you a salary.

Letter Carriers (as we are called) start out making about $14.00/hr and end up making almost $50,000/yr.
