You've been given some great answers and it is true, your grandson has probably been around computers all his life. You haven't. I have taught computer basics to senior citizens for 6 years, most of whom never saw or touched a computer before their children or grandchildren gave them one so they could keep in touch by email. It is a world we never envisioned, unless you have worked in computers for 20 years like I have. I'm still learning, believe me! I have a 4-year old great-granddaughter who is now learning. What fun I'm having teaching her! She'll know more than I do.

Just enjoy it, and let the grandson teach grandpa a thing or two. As long as there are forums like this one, you don't have to know a lot, just know when to ask questions. I've always told my "students" there are no dumb questions, only dumb answers!

Well, the thing is that he is growing up with it and you did not. It's harder for you to comprehend it because you spent most of your life not around it and your Grandson has spent his ENTIRE life around it, so I'm sure he will have no trouble using it. Computers are wonderful things, and so is the Internet...you can find ANYTHING you want to know on it.

it sounds complicated because of all the data. just appreciate the usage and the efficiency technology brings. it's not always necessary to understand it. :)
