All North, Central, South Americans and Caribeans r celebrating with u too. Can't speak for the Europeans, Mid-Easterners, Far-Easterners, Africans, Asians or Australians r doing but I wish them well and a happy Thanksgiving today and everyday too.

It's just a regular day for most others.

I'm from Iceland, currently living in the Czech Republic and in both countries today is just a regular Thursday. I'm working and will then go shopping for groceries and go home to cook a simple meal and perhaps watch a movie with my hubby in the evening.

Most country have Thanksgiving they just celebrate it on different days. So think about why we are doing while they are celebrating. Most of the time we don't even know they are having a holiday.

The Native Americans aren't celebrating.

As for the rest of the world, it was just another day - like yesterday was to us.

Thanksgiving was started here when the first white people had a meal with the Native Americans and gave thanks. They were suppose to have had turkey and maybe pumpkin pie or pudding. I bet they had other food as well like fish deer meat or buffalo and corn cakes. I won't be pigging out tomorrow and i live in America. I decided on a simple meal instead.

A Korean friend from school said that they sort of 'adopted' it, and so they celebrate it too. But they allegedly don't pig out as much as us. :)

Well I talked to my aunt on msn yesterday. She moved to switserland a few years ago. Anyway they don't celebrate Thanks giving b/c the pilgrimss didn't land in Switserland. A turkey over there costs 100 franks, equal to about $70.00 US dollars.. So thanks giving is just another day over there.
