In order to preserve your friendship I think it's best to keep your friend in the dark and just let him turn her down. If you tell her she'll associate the negative feelings with you, not him. Just be there for her when she gets turned down - that's all you can do. Good luck :)

You've done what you can to prepare your friend for the eventual let down if she follows through and asks the guy out. Having done that, now is the time to keep quiet and let her make her own mistakes even if they may be painful. If you continue to try to dissuade her from asking the guy out, she may start to think YOU are interested in him and that could affect your friendship if she is not a mature friend. What you can do now is be there for your friend if she does ask the guy out and is turned down. She will need a shoulder to cry on.

I think you should tell her what you know. I you are a true friend, you will not let her make a fool of herself by asking him out and getting rejected. She may even find out that you knew and then feel she can't tust you.

So let her live her own life, and ask him out. He'll say no and that'll be the end of it.

Be straight with her. All your doing is allowing her to waste her time. Tell her you have talked to him and he said he wasnt interested.

Tell her, "He won't like you unless you're a little less annoying/mean/hyper/stalkerish." or whatever she does to annoy him.
