My wife is a kindergarten teach and has been for the past 21 years. She loves to teach and really loves her children. Her school is an inner-city school and is 99% black and has been for the past 10 years. These 5 year olds are taught to hate white people from the time they are babies. Each Febuary she is required to do a section of Dr. King...the children all say how white people killed him and that all white people are bad people. She does her best to explain that's not true and she is white...then as every year the children try to comfort her by saying..OH NO your not white...your only light skinned..don't ever say your white. Many parents at the beginning of the year openly request a black teacher..not the white lady. Parents openly call her the white ***** teacher. On parent confrence night only 1-2 parents show up out of 20, 2 weeks ago none came. Many of the children are suffering from all kinds of abuse..it's rare to have one that is not. This year out of 20..1 has a father at

Unfortunately not anytime soon racism has been around since the beginning of time. I commend your wife for sticking through her devotion to the children even in times of adversity. I know when people talk about racism they assume that a minority has been the victim of the discrimination but they don't seem to understand that non minorities do experience racism from minorities that is just as hateful and mean. I can relate from that experience because I am a mixed race person and i have experienced racist remarks for being too white and then the other side being to dark there seems to be no neutral ground. I guess what is so appauling is that these children are being taught to hate at such young ages which will damage them later in life. If only the parents of these children could understand that your wife is only there to help their children because someone needs to help them the parents seem to reject that help.

It is so easy to be judgemental about any issue. I'm sure you yourself have some prejudice, be it race or ignorance. You yourself are being very stereotypical in your question. The other thing is you can't be upset because we teach our children the TRUTH. So many black activist have been killed by white americans. There is a hate pattern of white americans using violence against individuals of color. This is History and it can't be changed. It is up to us, as black parents to teach our children how to function and strive in the world as a black race. The reality is black americans and other races including you, as a white individual still experience racism everyday. I teach my children the history of racism and where it started, I try to explain why, but there is no explanation for this type of behavior. But, as black children, they experience racism in school among peers already. So don't try to pretend that it doesn't exist, but use education instead to inform them. What were you gonna to say about fatherhood among black males? My reason for asking is, don't. If you feel that racism is wrong stop calling blacks out to make a negative review or comment. I'm sorry your wife gets offended easily by parents calling her the white teacher. Ask yourself, have you never in your life descriped someone by their race or ethnic background. If you have, which I'm sure you have done because of the way you expressed your question; do you consider yourself a racist? Also, you said the students are taught to hate white people when they are babies. How do you explain young children who are taught to hate black americans, for example KKK and other hate groups? It's not everyone and at 5 years old, your wife should know that at that age so much is misinterperted. As any american has rights, your wife DOES NOT HAVE TO teach at an inner-city school, that is her choice. I would recommend she not after reading your opinion here. It seems as if you and your wife may sit around with your peers and discuss issues that would make a debate for "Why you don't like black people." That would be racism, what you would like to end! Remember this even if you disagree with me. If you love God, God sees no color. You are still my brother.

You need to get real and realize that racism is ingrained in the human psyche. Humans will always be more comfortable with like people and weary of anyone who is significantly different than themselves.

Even if we were all the same race, we would hate and discriminate on one another based on some other characteristic that differentiates us. The best that we can do is to educate one another on the pitfalls of racism. Racism will never be eradicated, but its influence can be lessened through education and enlightenment

Racism will end, if people will be taught that the color of the skin is but pigmentation. That if you dissect people all the innards or the internal organs are the same. Even all the color of the blood is red, although there will be different types. A red rose is equally similar to a white, yellow, pink or purple rose.
But this is the main reason though, if they say they believe in God, who are they to reject the color of the skin that God gives?. When a person rejects the skin color of another person, they are rejecting God's will. This is arrogance, hatred and defiance of God's will.
God loves the color of that skin, that is why He created them, not by accident -but by design. And just who are we to dictate to God, as to what is pleasing to our eyes?
Why should we know better than He does? Aren't we just
one of His mortal creatures who should accept ourselves for what we are, and accept others for what they are?

It won't end till kingdom come. Racism is passed from one generation of racists to the next, its like a horrible cycle of hatred that is being pushed onto people from a young age.

it may seem like a totally out there scenario but remember what happened in the movie "Independence Day"? it will have to take some kind of global threat to bring us all together. just like when 9/11 happened, America came together. if aliens tried to take over earth then you would see us stop being a bunch of different races and become one human race.
