i have 2 bunnies that were given to me this summer. when i went to pick them up they were put out in the sun with no food or water, they were also shedding and there was poop cake all over the bottom of their cage. i brought them home and let them roam free in our backyard (it's big and fenced in) and had them checked out. their in great health now and are doing just fine. the only problem i have now, which is really gross, is that there is rabbit pellets all over my backyard. does anyone have any idea ow to clean something like this up? it's nasty and i want to take care of it asap so my children can go outside and play in the yard. i've tried to blast them with the water hose, but it didn't help at all. any advice is appreciated.

Bunny poop is a great slow release fertilzer for your yard. If your children are old enough to be convinced not to ply with it or put it in their mouths, leave it lay. Other wise you are going to need to separate their areas by restricting your bunnies to an inaccessable (to your children) part of your yard. Healthy bunnies seldom carry dangerous pathogens as compred to other pets.

Bunnies are sometimes hard to take care of. One way is to pick the bunny pellets by hand, with gloves. Bunnies can be trained, so you might want to try and train them to go in a certain area so that this wont happen next time. GOOD LUCK!!

I would pick it up myself with gloves ( I know, fun...). Then, fence off a corner of the backyard for the bunnies, so they can have their play area, and the children can have theirs.

Get rid of the bunnies, I don't believe they can be trained to go in one area, or you could get a cat litter box, try that see what happens you'd have to get creative outside with the rain and all.

Rabbits amke wonderful house pets because they can be litter boy trained. Rabbtis face several problems outside including, predators (dogs, cats, people, foxes, etc), flystrike, heat stroke, hypothermia and fleas. I suggest you bring them indoors where they will get more attention and bond with your family. http://www.rabbit.org
